Hydroponic Plants will Be Cultivated in East Jakarta

The cultivation of hydroponic plants in Miftahul Jannah Foundation located at Jalan Mugeni III, Pisangan Timur, gained appreciation from East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana. He then intends to cultivate it to other areas in East Jakarta.

"I will persuade ladies from the family welfare movement (PKK) to come here for learning, then cultivating such plant in their area. Our hope, things like this could be cultivated in East Jakarta," said Musyawardhana, when he visited Miftahul Jannah Foundation, Sunday (7/26).
In the cultivation place, various hydroponic plants were planted such as pok cay, mustard, lettuce, radish, and lemon. "Such planting method is very good, especially in Jakarta which lack of empty land," he expressed.
City Develops Urban AgricultureBeside that, he also praised the foundation's step to edudate about 300 underprivileged children to get free education until High School level . "The underprivileged children here get free eduction, ranging from uniforms, food until school fees," he told.
He added, besides schooling, the children are also educated with various skills, thus if they are already out of here they could be an independent person and developing their skills.
"By this way, we will try to facilitate this thing. I will try to contact Social Department to distribute aid in the form of tools,eventhough the tools are quite sober, but the result is very satisfying. Probably, the result could be more maximal if it uses better tools," he closed.
